WASTE Project 2025

Wealth and Advancement through Sustainable Transformation of Environment

Executive Summary

The WASTE Project addresses poor waste management, youth unemployment, food insecurity, and poverty in Greater Jinja through a circular economy model that transforms 10 tons of organic waste daily into biogas, compost, and maggots by 2030.

  1. 200+ jobs for youth
  2. Food insecurity reduction from 47.7% to 42%
  3. Clean energy promotion
  4. Organic fertilizer production

Why This Matters
