At Romic Care Foundation (ROCAF), we believe everyone deserves to live in a safe, healthy, and thriving environment — no matter where they were born.
We believe that climate change is not just a scientific crisis — it’s a human crisis, and those who contribute the least often suffer the most. We believe that every child in Uganda deserves clean air, fertile land, and a future free from floods, hunger, and disease — even if they did not cause the problem.
We do what we do because we’ve seen the impact climate change has on our communities — unpredictable rains, dying crops, rising food prices, and families struggling to survive. We realized something powerful: even if Uganda contributes little to global emissions, we are still affected by actions taken thousands of miles away.
So, we decided to act.
We plant trees.
We teach climate-smart farming.
We clean and reuse waste.
We speak out for environmental justice.
We build a generation of eco-leaders.
Because we believe that protecting our environment here in Uganda is a way of protecting others around the world.
This is what we believe:
- The earth is a shared home.
- Climate change anywhere is a threat to life everywhere.
- Local actions can inspire global change.
- Communities on the frontline of climate impact deserve to be on the frontline of climate solutions.
